The ferry is a nice non-motorized way to traverse the Rhein. It takes about 10 mins to cross, and the small fee is negligible. The ferryman works for tips.


Trams come in many styles, and have been upgraded nicely in the past decade. Wheelchair or stroller access is provided, and they are always on time. Schedules are posted at every station, and you can select from several to get to your location, no matter where it may be. They run on rails, and are powered by electricity. Likewise, many buses run on electricity too.


These small vehicles must save on gasoline, which by the way is quite expensive in Switzerland.
