#1) Cryptic Conversations Decoded - Miles stated: "Vacations can only be judged by the degree of discomfiture upon one's return.... In this case, the vacation was a grand success." So Miles really came back to a snake pit of problems, health-wise as well as business-wise.

#2) Lean On Me - Lily tries to be supportive to Rick: "C'mere ... I know this is going to be okay. I know who you are, I know how you conduct yourself; whatever these people have done, it doesn't concern you." Lily really tries to support him, when he really needs it most.

#3) A Trap Is Sprung - D.A. Bob visits Karen in her office, and smoothly unearths a choice morsel for his investigation. "I've been called a packrat on occasion" "By your ex-husband?" "No, that would be the pot calling the kettle black"

#4) The Defense Never Rests! - Lily defends Rick against a potentially plagiarizing article by Christie on PagesAlive.com. Christie rather efficiently does draw our Lily into responding with more information than she should have given, but Lily played her trump card: "I will not support you with this article, and I won't support you in a libel suit!" Christie tests Lily's trust, but she responds with conviction that she is not wrong about her man.

#5) Passing The Torch - Karen congratulates Lily on the upcoming nuptials. Lily's Thank You carried such sincerity, it was palpable. I believe these two women have mutual respect for each other, and will treat one another with decency as their paths cross.

#6) That's My Boy! - Eli shows up at the courthouse, and tells his father "I thought you might need some company." This act on Eli's part has made me forgive him for EVERTHING he did wrong this season. Rick was so moved, he could only just reach over and pat his son lovingly,

#7) Tears For Fears - Lily was caught crying by her girls, while she was cooking one morning. When asked what was wrong, she only says she'll tell them later. They both come over and hug her tightly. Trying to be strong, Lily's fears for her man have left her emotions brimming to the surface quickly.

#8) If I Only Had A Heart - Miles, who revealed that he is suffering from terminal cancer, comes to apologize to Rick, and to commend him. "[I came here] to tell you what you did was remarkable, even if no one sees it but me...." Rick asked him where he was going now, to which he responded "That is actually quite funny. I'll send a report back when I get there." I think we all would like to see that report. :)

#9) Family Ties Strengthened - While Jessie bubbles over about one of her school assignments, Rick impulsively grabs her in a bear-hug. Jessie's joi de vivre gives Rick a sudden sickening feeling of loss, that he might not be with his baby, if things take a worse turn in court. This bond with his second child was fitting, and lovely.

#10) Open Up! - As Lily again seeks to reassure Rick that she will be with him "Whatever happens" (she says this twice), Eli answers a pounding knock at the door. The police demand access to the premises in search of any paper & computer records. Rick holds Lily and Jessie tightly as his world is "To Be Continued....."
